The Neishlos Foundation focuses on initiatives that have the power to inspire people to do good, thus amplifying the impact of the original donation. We believe that donations are only one piece of the puzzle, and look to support organizations and initiatives that can have a long-term, sustainable impact that empowers communities and can lead to tangible change.
“If we all give a little, it becomes a lot,” Eitan explains. “The model is working, and it is a call to action for young adults around the world to stand up and be counted – to make a difference. They have a voice and a lot of depth and a lot of giving potential.”
To this end, we support both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations, with a particular focus on Israel and Australia.
The foundation operates according to the following principles:
The collective power of giving
Sustainable annuity charitable income
Nurturing young adult leaders
Jewish continuity
Connection to the State of Israel
Holocaust Education
Commitment to universal values of leadership and democracy
“There’s a way of looking to your own skill sets, your own resources, your own business, your own job, whatever it might be, and actually providing a conscientious service,” Eitan explains.
“This for me is breaking the mold of philanthropy. My call to action to people is to do something, and if someone can’t write a check, if someone can’t give of their own personal time, maybe they can look to their business or maybe they can look to their skill set.”
